GG Con?
GG Con “Gamer Girl Conference” is a gaming convention meant for girl gamers who face online harassment and are in need of a welcoming community. GG Con promotes positivity and safety for all gamers to have a GG!
Why GG Con?
Women also face discrimination and bullying when participating in gaming or in a work environment. Getting women into gaming and esports, provided opportunities for women to show off heir skills in that being in gaming or esports, and to build an equal and safe environment empowering girls and women in the global gaming ecosystem.
Objective
This human-centered design project focused on a specific problem to help a specific user. How might we create a delightful online gaming experience for girl gamers affected by online harassment, by promoting a safe inclusive and positive atmosphere in the gaming experience.
Process
To create the GG Con experience, our team underwent a lengthy process consisting of various phases. We started by defining and identifying our problem through different research strategies such as data synthesis, as-is journey maps, prototyping , and storyboarding to name a few.
